Since the implementation of the Virtual Asset User Protection Act, approximately 40 cases of suspected unfair trading, such as price manipulation, have been investigated in the domestic crypto market. According to reports from foreign outlets like Binance News, the Financial Services Commission (FSC) stated that more than 30 of these cases have been referred or transferred to the prosecution. In particular, the FSC plans to introduce an AI-based surveillance system to more precisely detect increasingly sophisticated abnormal trading activities.

The figures prove that the authorities' determination to root out unfair trading since the law took effect is much stronger than expected. It's safe to say that overt acts like 'walled-garden' pumping or order book manipulation are now completely under red alert. Once AI surveillance is introduced, tracking on-chain flow will become much tighter, and it will be interesting to see how a more transparent market will impact domestic liquidity and the trading environment in the long run.
