This is a pretty heavy topic. Over the past four days, Cronos, Ontology, and the ICON network have all experienced consecutive halts in block production.

The interesting part is how each project responded. While some simply paused network operations, Cronos even went so far as to perform a rollback, reverting blocks to a previous state to restore the network.

It has brought the long-standing dilemma between emergency control to prevent damage and the core essence of decentralization to the surface once again. If a chain can be arbitrarily stopped and rolled back for crisis management, can it truly be called a decentralized network?

Quick responses are important, but maintaining trust in consensus algorithms is a value that cannot be sacrificed. It will be interesting to see how the community reacts and how each ecosystem balances security and decentralization going forward.
