Bitcoin has had a rough few days... If it’s any consolation, the entire asset market has seen a pullback.
While Bitcoin remains the dominant force in the crypto market, many individual investors are likely more interested in altcoins. I personally invest the majority of my capital into altcoins rather than the less volatile Bitcoin.
Since I first started investing in the crypto market in 2018,
Bitcoin rise/dominance rise -> Altcoin drop/sideways -> Bitcoin drop/dominance drop -> Altcoin rise
This cyclical pumping structure was considered a formula, but I haven't really seen it in the last year or two. As crypto enters the institutional mainstream, it feels like its position is shifting toward a more stable asset market rather than the high volatility of the past.
However, as an individual investor who has consistently invested in crypto, I can't help but miss the 'market of madness' we used to have.
Are alt seasons a thing of the past now?
