As AI becomes smarter, a new wealth gap is emerging in the crypto security ecosystem. According to recent reports, exchanges are facing divergent paths regarding access to Claude Mythos, Anthropic's ultra-high-performance security AI model. Coinbase secured exclusive access back in June, and Shielded Labs has already utilized the model to audit the Zcash protocol. In contrast, major global platforms like Binance still lack access, leaving them dependent on traditional, manual security methods.

The reason this gap is so daunting is that Claude Mythos goes beyond simple code review; it has the capability to identify vulnerabilities on its own and even design exploit code. It recently proved its power by identifying a core flaw in a cryptographic algorithm in just 60 hours. If security tools shift toward an AI monopoly, I worry whether platforms lacking these powerful tools will be able to fend off machine-speed AI-based attacks. Security gaps may soon become the new benchmark for measuring exchange reliability.
