Oh, this is really interesting news! It has been announced that Hyperliquid's native token, HYPE, has been added as the 5th largest holding in the Hashdex Nasdaq CME Crypto Index ETF, one of the leading US-listed cryptocurrency index funds. According to foreign reports including BeInCrypto, this inclusion puts HYPE right alongside major assets, following Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and XRP. It is said to account for approximately 3.4% of the ETF's weight.
Hyperliquid has long been characterized as a high-performance decentralized exchange and a high-beta asset favored enthusiastically by individual investors. Seeing it officially named in an institutional index fund is quite significant. It can be seen as a signal that tokens based on high-performance chain protocols are starting to be recognized as key benchmark assets in the market, moving beyond just being a meme or a playground for retail traders. It's a trend worth watching to see how market confidence strengthens alongside the inflow of institutional-grade capital.
