What if you could pay for concert tickets with your wallet? Here is the method Bermuda is preparing.

Bermuda's ticket sales platform, PTIX, is preparing a feature to pay for tickets using digital assets. This plan was announced by WalletConnect and local partner Penrose on October 29.

The mechanism involves the buyer paying from their wallet, which then sends the funds directly to the event organizer's wallet instead of the ticket platform holding the money. This structure seems feasible when the ticket sales platform and the event organizer receiving the funds are separate entities.

This feature is not yet available for immediate use on PTIX. The service is currently scheduled to launch in Q2 2027. We will need to keep an eye out for further launch announcements regarding actual supported wallets, assets, and refund policies.

Separately, WalletConnect Pay has already begun supporting the Stellar network, with LOBSTR being the first Stellar wallet to integrate it.
